Great Glen Canoe Trail
The Great Glen Canoe Trail follows the 95km of the Caledonian Canal from Fort William to Inverness. We offer a variety of packages to suit your needs from this trip ranging from a guided trip including all equipment and transport to just the hire of boats and help with logistics. Introduction to canoeing
Over two days you will learn the essential basic skills of canoeing. We will visit two of my favorite open canoeing venues in Lochaber, where you will have the chance to see some amazing wildlife. The BCU 1* award can be assessed during this course at no extra cost. All our intro courses have a maximum instructor to client ratio of 1:4, which means you will get the most out of your two days.

Pre-requisites: None

Intermediate canoeing
This two day course leads on perfectly from our intro course, looking more closely at personal paddling skills and starting to introduce some safety and rescue techniques. Again this course has a maximum instructor to client ratio of 1:4. Training for the BCU 2* award can be included in this course, however assessment would also require some kayak skills, please contact me to discuss.
Pre-requisites: Some previous kayaking experience, like our intro course. Please contact me if you are not sure.

Bespoke canoe guiding or coaching
If you, your club or group are looking for something not covered by our other courses, or feel you would benifit from 1:1 coaching then please contact me to discuss your needs. I have previously ran things like training days for clubs and led small groups on multi-day camping trips, as well as providing 1:1 training for individuals working towards BCU awards.
